Reiki is universal life force energy. Literally, that’s what it means. The Japanese word “Rei” means Universal or Higher Power and the word “Ki” means Life Force Energy. It is the energy that is available to everyone at ALL times. “Giving” Reiki is an energy healing technique used for relaxation and stress reduction.
It is administered via a transfer of energy usually through the healer’s palms of hands from person to person, person to animal, person to plant, healer to client. It can be done in person or at a distance, as energy has no bounds. As long as the connection is made, it does not matter if the receiver person/place/situation is directly in front of you.
Benefits of Reiki
The benefits of Reiki are unlimited. Some of the blessings include reduced stressed, a calm feeling, being more tolerant and forgiving, quicker recovery, less pain, less anxiety and being generally happier. Receiving Reiki multiple times over a period of time may heal you of your issues completely or may change your views on life and shift your way of thinking and being. Once the connection is made, the Reiki knows where it needs to go. The healer needs to be a clear channel to share the energy and the client only needs to be open to receive. It is the intention of healing and being healed that is the key.
What is Distant/Connection Reiki?
Connection Reiki, often called Distant Reiki, is Reiki that is done at a distance by connecting energy to energy. Meaning, the healer will tune into the person that is to receive the Reiki as you would tune into radio stations. Once the connection is made, the healing can take place.
The only job of the recipient is to be open and have the intention of feeling better. If you do not believe that anything will actually change for you, then nothing will happen, until you do believe. Energy has no limits, and can reach anyone at anytime anywhere, through all directions of time. Don’t let that boggle your mind! Again, it is the intention of healing and being healed that is the key.
